FAQ

Is my dog suitable?

We kindly ask that all dogs be well socialised and friendly with others. For everyone's comfort we cannot accept dogs with a history of aggression, as well as entire dogs, those in season or pregnant. Please be sure to disclose any behaviours such as marking, escaping, digging, excessive barking or destructive behaviour to ensure a positive experience for all.

What will my dog do on a daily basis?

A typical day would include walks through the beautiful countryside where they can explore and enjoy the fresh air. Access to a secure field is available to those that prefer. They have the freedom to potter around the downstairs of our home in our large open plan kitchen-diner- living space, boot room and utility area and have free access to roam around and enjoy our spacious secure garden. We have plenty of enrichment toys and even a paddle pool for those warm summer days that dogs can enjoy with their new playmates. Not only plenty of social time, there will always be time for much needed cuddles, and snoozes so they will ensure they feel right at home.

Where will my dog sleep?

Whether it’s lying next to the Aga in the kitchen or cozying up to the wood burning stove n the lounge, our home boarding service provides the perfect setting for your dog to experience home from home luxury. We provide a range of comfortable raised beds for them to sleep on and blankets to snuggle. We treat all of our canine guests as if they were our own dogs. We are a very relaxed household and will provide plenty of cuddles on the sofa for your dog whilst they are staying with us.

Will my dog need up-to date vaccinations?

All dogs are required to have an up-to date vaccination certificate, which must be submitted with the registration form and on annual renewals. This certificate should cover Canine Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis, Canine Parvovirus, Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. The last vaccination of the initial course must be completed at least two weeks before your dog's first visit. Regular veterinary-approved treatments for worms, fleas, and ticks are required, and all dogs must be microchipped.

Are you licensed?

We have a license by Wiltshire Council to operate an Animal Boarding Establishment for a maximum of 6 dogs. We have comprehensive public liability insurance cover.

How do I make a reservation?

Before any booking can be considered, an initial 'meet and greet' visit must be arranged. It's essential for us that you feel completely comfortable leaving your dog in our care and that you like us and our environment. This visit will allow us to make an accurate assessment of your dog's suitability, including their social behavior, compatibility with other dogs, nervousness, energy levels, and any signs of aggression or unsociable habits. This process benefits all dogs who visit us, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. Following this we will organise a trial day for daycare or trial overnight stay for boarding, so your dog can experience a normal stay with us.
